Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the S9 Plus, two of its flagship devices of 2018 last month at the Mobile World Congress. Both these devices are just an incremental update over the last year’s devices and Samsung has not included any completely new feature to the device, which is both good and bad.

Step 1:

First, download and install the Bixby Button Remapper – bxActions app from the Google Play Store on your Samsung Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus device.

Step 2:

Once you have installed the app, open it and then click on next to proceed. You will be asked to enable the foreground app permission.

Click on the first enable switch and the app will automatically take you to the usage access settings on your device.

Just select the Bx actions app from the list of available apps and then enable the allow usage tracking option to proceed further.

Step 3:

You will now be taken back to the app main screen where you would find the get button events enable button.

Just click on it and then you will be taken to the accessibility service settings page on your device.

Just select the Bx actions app from the list and then enable to allow the app to detect the button press event on your device.

Step 4:

Once you have enabled all the necessary permissions and requirements, the app will now be ready to function.

To assign the action for when you press the Bixby button on your device, just click on the Actions option on the app home page followed by Bixby and then standard action.

Step 5:

The app will now show you the list of all available actions, apps, and services which you could select to replace the Bixby button action to launch the Bixby service.

You can select from a list of useful options like remap the Bixby button to take screenshots, toggle do not disturb mode, toggle the power menu and even to launch the Google assistant directly from your lock screen.
