Google has launched several devices and Android 6.0 on September 29. However, the most interesting devices are those two new mobiles aka Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X. Both of the new mobiles have some improvements from their previous edition i.e. Nexus 6 and Nexus 5. Nexus 6P vs Nexus 5X

Although, both of the devices have got only few changes from their initial mobiles i.e. Nexus 6 and Nexus 5, yet, this is very confusing to select one between Nexus 6P and 5X since both are having quite same configuration and software. Therefore, most of the people will get confused. However, this comparison will assist you to choose either Nexus 6P or Nexus 5X.

Cellular Network

Both of the new devices have exactly same configuration and network frequency. However, Nexus 6P has Global Model and American Model. On the other hand, Nexus 5X has American Model, Asian Model and a Global Model. The network frequency has a minor enhancement in these devices. Apart from that, you will get 2G, 3G as well as 4G LTE in Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X. The speed is also same in both. You will get HSPA 42.2/5.76 Mbps, LTE Cat6 300/50 Mbps speed.

Dimension and Weight

Both of the devices have less thickness and width than previous models. The same thing remains in these two devices as well. There is a huge difference between the dimensions of both devices. The dimension is Huawei Nexus 6P is 159.3 x 77.8 x 7.3 mm. However, you the dimension of Nexus 5X is 147 x 72.6 x 7.9 mm. As usual, the weight of Nexus 5X is much lesser than Nexus 6P. The Nexus 5X is 136g and nexus 6P is 178g.

FYI, the LG Nexus 5’s dimension is 137.9 x 69.2 x 8.6 mm and the dimension of Motorola Nexus 6 is 159.3 x 83. X 10.1 mm.

Display & Resolution

In terms of display, Nexus 6P is much better than Nexus 5X because it has AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M color density. But, Nexus 5X has only capacitive display with the same color density. As the dimension of Nexus 5X is less than 6P, the display size is also much smaller. Nexus 6P has 5.7 inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and 518 ppi pixel density. On the other hand, Nexus 5X has 5.2 inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and 424 ppi pixel density. The second important difference is Nexus 6P has Corning Gorilla Glass 4 with Oleophobic coating but Nexus 5X has  Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

By the way, both the devices have got a major improvement from their initial devices. Nexus 5 has True HD IPS capacitive touchscreen without any Oleophobic coating.

CPU and GPU

They are almost same in both of the devices. The chipset of Nexus 6P is consisted with Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 with Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-c-re 2.0 GHz Cortex-A57 processor. At the same time, Nexus 5X is having Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 with Quad-core 1.44 GHz Cortex-A53 & dual-core 1.82 GHz Cortex-A57. But, when it comes with performance and speed, obviously Snapdragon 810 will win the race.

However, the GPU has got a little change and eventually this is far better than previous devices. You will get Adreno 430 in Nexus 6P and Adreno 418 in Nexus 5X.

Ram & Memory

Nexus 5 had 2GB of RAM and now Nexus 5X will carry the same. You will get 2GB of RAM in LG Nexus 5X. Nevertheless, you will get 3 GB of RAM in Nexus 6P. That is exactly same as it was in Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 respectively.

Nexus 5X is available in two different variants. You will 16GB and 32GB of internal memory in Nexus 5X but one 128GB variant is available for Nexus 6P alongside 32GB and 64GB.

Camera

Although, Nexus 5 has got an upgrade from its previous device, but Nexus 6P has not got any upgrade so far. You will get 12MP rear camera in Nexus 6P and 12.3MP camera in Nexus 5X with laser autofocus, dial-LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, photo sphere, HDR and dual recording. The video recording rate is exactly same in both of the devices. You will get 2160@30fps. However, as mentioned before Nexus 6P is for mainly selfie maniacs, you will get 8MP front camera, when Nexus 5X has 5MP camera for selfie and video calling.

Battery

Although, the battery backup time is still not revealed, but you will get Li-Pro 3450 mAh battery in Huawei Nexus 6P and Li-Pro 2700 mAh battery in LG Nexus 5X. Obviously, the Nexus 6P will provide more backup than Nexus 5X.

Wrap Up

Although, they have little differences but Nexus 6P is certainly the winner in this race. But, the price of Nexus 5X is comparatively much lower than Nexus 6P. Nexus 5X costs around 480 euro when Nexus 6P has a 650 euro price tag.
