Gionee has just announced a brand new smartphone named Gionee Elife S6. It comes with some spectacular features and looks. Just few days ago, Gionee announced Elife E8 and now, another brand new smartphone is about to launch. The official launch date and price are also unveiled by this mobile company.

Gionee is working great in India and other countries since last one year. Although, they have formed before that but their golden times started in 2014 in India. However, this affordable mid-range Android smartphone is about to launch on November 22 at just Rs. 17k (~$267). Although, you can find loads of other Android mobiles within that range, but you should definitely consider this mobile because of the following reasons.

Body

Gionee Elife S6 comes with a glossy golden body, which is probably the best one in Gionee family. This is not too small mobile since the height is 151.9mm (5.98-inch). The screen looks awesome. On the other hand, you can find three buttons on the mobile. Those will work like a bit older Samsung mobiles. That means, you can find Home, Back and Recent Apps button in the bottom of the mobile. At the same time, you can camera with flash on the back side. Obviously, there are huge difference, yet, it looks like iPhone 6S clone from the back. However, the dimension of this mobile is 5.98 x 2.94 x 0.27-inch and it weighs 147gm.

Network & Connectivity

This is another Gionee mobile, which will be having 4G LTE alongside 2G and 3G. (Network frequencies are not available right now) Although, 4G has become common in present days, yet still this is a plus point for Gionee Elife S6. IT support two SIM cards and dual stand-by. On the other hand, you will get all the other features including Wi-Fi direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Radio, USB 2.0 Type-C 1.0 and more others.

Display

The overall look of the display is pretty impressive. And the internet features are not too bad as well. You will get a 5.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M color density and ~267 ppi pixel density. That is really awesome for a mid-range Gionee Android smartphone. You will get a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. This is needless to mention that multi-touch support is available in this mobile.

Chipset

This Android 5.1.1 running Gionee smartphone is having Mediatek MT6753 chipset. At the same time, you will get Octa-core processor and the clock speed is 1.3 GHz. This is much better than older Gionee smartphones. At this range, some other mobiles manufacturers cannot provide such configuration. However, in terms of GPU, this is not too bad since it comes with Mali-T720MP3.

RAM & Storage

This is where it excels and it is another plus point of this mobile. You will get 3GB of RAM in Gioness Elife S6. In simple words, the processor and RAM are capable of providing a great user experience. On the other hand, you will get 32GB internal storage, which can be extended up to 128GB using microSD card.

Camera

It comes with 13MP rear camera that is really good. When, Gionee used to launch their smartphones in older days, users were disappointed due to bad camera. But, this problem has been solved more than a year now. That simply implies how good this camera is going to be. In camera contains autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch-to-focus, face detection, panorama and HDR. On the other hand, you will get a resolution of 4128 x 3096 pixels. This is possible to record video in 1080p at 30FPS. Not only just rear camera, but also Elife S6 comes with a 5MP front facing camera for video calling and other usages.

Battery

Alike other Gionee mobiles, you will get Li-Ion 3150 mAh battery Elife S6. Although, no other information is mentioned yet it will be capable of providing quite good backup.

Final Word

Considering all the features, you should definitely go for this mobile. But, if Gionee could have included some features like Corning Gorilla Glass, more powerful battery etc. it will be considered more. However, the USB TypeC is included in this mobile, which is a positive side of this mobile.
